I enjoyed the Bacon Sandwich at The Shambles Bar in Windsor, which featured smoked bacon, chili jam, rocket, and ciabatta, with a delicious addition of a fried egg. It was incredibly tasty and the perfect reward after an 11km walk from Virginia Lake to Windsor Castle.
Soho River House is situated in Windsor, along the scenic River Thames, within the charming Oatley Court. In addition to their dining experience, they offer boat trips, currently priced at £20 for an adult and £10 for an child.
I visited Soho River House on a sunny afternoon in late September 2024 to catch up with a friend. The restaurant is set inside a large teepee, with tables and cozy sofas arranged around a central fire pit, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was hearty and comforting, ideal for the onset of autumn. I opted for the lobster linguine and finished with the burnt cheesecake—both were absolutely delicious.
In September 2024, I went to an authentic Italian restaurant named Jacuzzi in London. The food was hearty and the restaurant interior is absolutely gorgeous and filled with Italian decor.
Our mains was as followed;
Freshly made twisted pasta filled with pulled veal ragù, coated in San Marzano tomato sauce, olives, capers and confit garlic, grated pecorino atop.
Our special home-made spaghetti alla chitarra with creamy truffle sauce, Parmigiano Reggiano foam and fresh black truffle. Served in a pecorino wheel
I recently visited Milk Beach in Soho London for girlie mid-week dinner. The food was absolutely amazing and I would say it is a must-go! The Mains is a shared between guests. We ordered the following for Mains and Dessert;
Chicken yakitori, spring onion, goma dare, cucumber salad
Prawn toast, sesame, gochujang sweet ‘n’ sour sauce
Chicken salt chips (vg)
‘Golden Gaytime’, toffee & buttermilk parfait, dark chocolate, malt & honeycomb crumble (v)
Chocolate brownie and ice cream
I popped in for a croissant and a rose latte. The latte is a definite try! I really enjoyed the difference! The Cafe is super cute - next time I will definitely be taking more photos.
I visited Biscuiteers to pop in to enjoy a latte and pick up a present for Mothers Day. The service was brilliant; the staff was very welcoming and assisted with my gift purchase. There are approximately four tables on the top floor on the inside - there is also a cute courtyard. Their biscuits are amazing - I would definitely recommend them as a gift!
DISHOOM
I have to say if you are looking for really really good food filled with a wide range spices and dishes in London - the restaurant has got to be Dishoom!
I took the photo at the Kings Cross one!
Absolutely love! <3
March 2022
It’s my birthday month!
I had a birthday dinner at the Dalloway Terrace. The fish and chips are super tasty; the environment is super floral!
I went to Winter Wonderland in London. It is a fabulous day out with lots on offer. It is very festive!
The food highlight for February 2022 was the Oxo Tower. It is a lovely venue with a great view of the Thames and St Paul's Cathedral. The cocktails are stunning; the food was great!
Summer 2021 was three months of catching up with friends and family - filled with baby showers and birthdays!
For the food lover - the highlight for Summer 2021 would be Crazy Bear Beaconsfield. The customer service, the decor, and the food were of a high standard. I had the lobster for lunch - it was super tasty, and the cocktails were delicious too. There is a rooftop pool where you can drink and have snacks poolside. Crazy Bear Beaconsfield is a must - highly recommend!
I also visited Freya Cafe in London this summer, and it is amazingly pink inside. The Rose Avo Toast was great for brunch and, the vanilla latte was so pretty and heavenly (I am a coffee lover).
This month was super sunny with two bank holidays!
I visited a few lovely restaurants; the food was super yummy.
Please see the following list for the restaurants;
London House Gordon Ramsey (Battersea)
Beaufort House (Chelsea)
Peggy Porschen (Chelsea)
The Goat (Chelsea)
Recommendations:- Steak at London House; strawberry panna cotta at Beaufort House and cake at Peggy Porschen
Chelsea has historical London architecture and signs explaining the history. It is these little things that add a life - a story to London. I always love an adventure in the city.
I cannot wait for the summer!
The clocks go back, the leaves turn brown, and the crisp cold air arrives. October was filled with hope as restaurants were open and many more people out about in London.
I wanted to do a food crawl through Chelsea’s restaurants, however, you know what they say about best-made plans. My eyes are always larger than my stomach haha. There are few places I would like to visit - please see the following in no particular order;
Humble Pizza (it's a pink pizza place!)
Peggy Porschen (cupcakes look amazing)
Bluebird Chelsea (it's on Made on Chelsea..)
The Ivy Chelsea (flowers galore)
Stanley Cafe
I am sure there are many more places. I will add them to a later post!
In October, I did manage to visit The Ivy Chelsea Garden for breakfast, Bluebird Chelsea for after-dinner drinks, and Stanley Cafe for dinner. (Not all in one day!)
The breakfast at The Ivy Chelsea Garden was delicious. I ate the Smoked Salmon Crumpet - super tasty! The Bluebird Terrace was great for after-dinner drinks; the terrace was comfortable in the Autumn cold weather as they had heating outside. Lastly, I chose to have the rib eye steak for dinner at the Stanley Cafe; it was memorable as I selected to have it medium rare - perfect! Highly recommend!
London has a variety of restaurants; I cannot wait to visit many more.
Christmas is fast approaching?! Have you started shopping? Last year I left it till Christmas Eve - not doing that again! Haha!
